Our Leadership



Eric has served as Assistant Controller for Plains All American Pipeline, LP since June 2012. He previously served in varying roles of increasing responsibility in the
Financial Reporting group, serving as Director until May 2012. Prior to joining Plains in October 2005, Mr. McKee held various accounting and financial reporting roles with Reliant Energy, Continental Airlines and Arthur Andersen LLP.
Eric is married to Gwen, whose father is a retired Air Force Colonel and Vietnam veteran. Eric and Gwen have two children, Matthew and Claire. Matthew is a Junior engineering major at Texas A&M and Claire is a Junior in high school and trains in classical dance.
Eric is the son of an Army veteran and the grandson of a Marine Corp veteran who served as an airman and fought at Iwo Jima. After learning more about Jeff’s story and FOB Rasor he decided to become more involved to help support our military vets.
Philip Cariello, LPC-S, CEAP, SAP

Philip has been in the mental health field in some capacity since 1991. He has worked as a clinical supervisor in a Texas Corrections Substance Abuse Program, several psychiatric hospitals, and The Council on Recovery Houston.
In the late 90’s Philip volunteered in the inner city of Houston, working with high-risk children and teens to provide empowering resources. Philip personally, has been working a 12-steprecovery program since January 1, 1989 after struggling with alcoholism,addiction and trauma from ages 13-22. Philip’s brother served in the Marines for five years serving in the Force Recon unit and engaged in Operation Desert Storm and also active combat while deployed in Somalia. Philip’s first cousin was in the Navy for twenty years and was a specialist in IED warfare detecting and diffusing bombs. Philip’s Uncle served in Vietnam. Philip has a very close relationship with all three of these family members and has a passion for supporting our combat vets.
Philip earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Houston, and a Master’s degree in Education/Counseling from Texas Southern University College of Education. Philip is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and holds several other certifications in the mental health and substance abuse field.
Rudy Wentzler
Board Member
Rudy is a US Army Veteran, having served on active duty from 2001-2006, then again from 2008-2009 after being recalled from the Inactive Ready Reserve. He served two tours in Iraq (’03-’04; ’08-’09). Since leaving the service, he has been and always will be a passionate supporter of the Veteran community.
Currently, Rudy is a financial advisor and Senior Vice President at Woodforest Wealth Strategies. Prior to joining the financial services industry, he worked in various operations and supply chain management roles within the Chemical industry.
Rudy has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The United States Military Academy at West Point (’01), and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin (’08). He is a proud father of two incredible girls and husband to his amazing wife, Courtney. Rudy enjoys traveling with his family, working out, rucking, and doing pretty much anything that will get him outside.
